Ross from Dead Reynolds shares his inspirations with us...

Our favourite East-Anglian rock quintet Dead Reynolds are back with a new member and a new single this month. We caught up with new boy Ross to chat about his influences and inspirations as a musician.

Hi Ross, lovely to chat to you!

Can you remember what performance or artist you saw that made you want to be a performer?

Queen Live Aid 1985!

Who would you say is your biggest inspiration musically?

My biggest inspiration has to be Dom from our band. He has mentored me from the start and Is an amazing person who's taught me so much. Famous inspiration wise I would have to say Freddie Mercury.

How often do you write music?

As much as I can. Between running a business and looking after my family, I write in my down time. I would say twice a week.

If you could learn a new instrument what would it be?

Acoustic Guitar. Love it!

What one song do you wish you’d written?

I couldn't say, I respect all songs and their writers but I don't think I could say I wish I wrote any of someone else's songs. I believe writing is down to each individuals experiences.

If you could duet with one person - dead or alive - who would it be and what song would you want to do?

Robbie Williams - Feel

If you could pick someone to be your musical mentor who would you pick?

No question- Dom Greenwood!

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve been given?

Just be you!!

Thanks Ross, I think the duet with Robbie would be something we would love to hear!

New single 'Fly Away' is out now.
